Anyway, I've got my fingers crossed. I think my graphic artist quit on me because I haven'theard from him in over a week. I need to get the design of Davariel just right to send to make the t-shirts, mugs, underwear, posters and anything else I think will sell going. I found a reallly cool website that does this kind of stuff. It's called Cafepress.
Next Monday I go back to my regular 9-5 so I'm going to have less time to work on my edits for the other books of the series. Dark Prince (formerly ANGEL OF DESIRE) is going pretty good. I'm pretty much rewriting to whole thing from scratch because it was the lamest one out of the seven. The other ones are so much better...at least they used to be until I started re-writing book two. I think the problem was that the MFC was too weak. I'm trying a new tactic. writing her like a man, but instead of refering to Angel as he, I write she. Everybody really loves her now. She stronger, emotionally more explosive and dark, and even bodywise, she isn't the typical curvy feminine barbie doll. Angel is tall, sinewy, gives as good as she gets and takes no bull from anyone. Look-out, Devon.
My favorite is still the sixth book ANGEL OF REDEMPTION. My M/M/F threesome, but I can't talk about that one because I'll betray secrets from the preceding five books...and the first one hasn't even come out yet.
A little secret abaout FALLEN ANGEL-it was actually the SIXTH book written. ANGEL OF REDEMPTION's theme was pretty disturbing to get into so I decided to take a break to get my emotional strength up for it. In the meanwhile, I was going over my notes on the different characters, about their past, families, alien mixes and such. Their was one name that was always brought up throughout all the books. The demon Davariel. Dava was just a bunch of back notes and I suddenly thought how interesting it would be if I were to scare up his story just for the hell of it. It had all the makings of a good romance. Spoiled angel who revolts and turns into a demon, he captures a virgin to sacrifice to Lucifer and ends up falling in love with her...then...I can't say anymore because I'll give the book away. Anyway, I wrote thewhole thing in a weekend, couldn't stop writing and ended up with a 22,180 word novella that grew to over 42,000 after I dragged it through review fuse. I had a masterpiece that made the first book I originally wrote look like poopy. I was hooked. I was in love with my Davariel. Sometimes I find things that I could add or fix here and ther, but its hard to edit at this point because I become so engrossed in the plot that I forget to look for ways to garnish it a little more. Anyhoo. let's hope the people atNRP feel the same way. I ran an ad on writerscafe an to this date 193 people have read the first three chapters. The first time I ran the ad a few months ago over 600 clicked on the story. Imagine how many will want it when they log into a website specifically designed to sell these types of books. I'm very confidant it'll be a big hit. Lot's of fans leave me messages saying how much they love the story and wanting to know when they can buy it tpo finally find out what happens to Davariel and Luci. This one enthusiastic lady offered me $50 for me to e-mail it to her personally. She said she'll buy it too when it comes out just to be supportive. WOW!
This is fun. So here I am, waiting on NRP with my fingers crossed.
